Warren’s approach to shaping is defined by a deep curiosity for surf history and design evolution. After shaping his first board at age 14, he spent a decade absorbing the craft alongside legendary masters, including Terry Martin, Malcolm Campbell, and Chris Christenson. Heavily influenced by the San Diego roots of the Mini Simmons movement, Warren became an early pioneer in refining the high-speed, effortless glide of alternative shortboards. Today, his diverse shaping portfolio spans across a wide spectrum from traditional logs to highly evolved progressive shapes, with each hand-crafted board serving as a testament to utility, fluid performance, and timeless aesthetic restraint.
